Sim Stuff - My thoughts on a dedicated PC rig for VR or non-VR use. (2020)
Basically: VR + Simulation games = Match made in Heaven
The question is what kind of setup do you need to take full advantage of the possibilities available?
Spent way too long trying to figure out the answer and what to buy.
I'm too poor for high end, and too picky for budget. So mid-level is my go to usually.
Note: This is for a PC based system.

Mounting
|
Clamp to your Desk
or use a Mounting Stand (~$100). Bring your own Chair.
Much better than desk clamps, but not as sturdy as a chair mounted design. Gets the job done. |
Openwheeler System
($400-600) Modular mounting system allows you to mount Flight and Racing gear simultaneously, or switch them out if desired. Optional accessories improve compatibility with gear. Seat Lift Kit is essential for optimum comfort.

DoF Setup
($2k+) Your whole setup moves/tilts.
Many DIY tutorials out there for anyone that doesn't want to buy premade. |
